Your role

The work program of ESCAP-APCTT covers analytical and normative work, policy support and advocacy, technical assistance, and capacity-building activities.

Other duties may include undertaking the following:

  • Support the communications and knowledge management function of the organization.
  • Support the implementation of a communication strategy
  • Contribute to the design and ideation of communication collaterals
  • Assist in maintaining updates on the website pertaining to training and events
  • Create engaging social media content and explore new digital tools for better outreach
  • Work with the team to re-design and digitize the Tech Monitor
  • Provide administrative, organizational, and conference management support for ESCAP-APCTT events
  • Other activities as may be decided by the supervisor.

About you

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Program, applicants to the program must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).

Work experience

  • No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Program.
  • Data handling skills and skills in using spreadsheets, Excel is also an asset.
