Your role
General understanding of products/services, their product family, and bundle components. Proactively identify inconsistencies in structuring and coach Sales accordingly.
Act as an internal deal advocate by taking responsibility for leading deals through booking within the set period.
Work with various internal stakeholders and approvers very closely to obtain necessary approvals based on the requested exceptions
Work to improve the quality of the commercial terms to maximize the deal value to the company
Retrieve necessary contractual documents for the requesters
Navigate organizational structure and build relationships of trust with stakeholders.
Follow established revenue recognition company guidelines for both the quoting and contract process.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of tools required, identify system issues, and raise awareness to solve them
Obtain basic knowledge and seek to learn the products/services that VMware offers.
Follow internal business processes to solutions and seek appropriate guidance/approvals to resolve situations that deviate from standard processes or fallbacks.
Seek an understanding of who the customer is and their requirements.

Analyze and interpret Enterprise License Agreements and navigate through the systems:
Within 90 days of employment, become competent with VMware’s rules, guidelines, and standard operations.
You will work closely with your peers and the enablement team to ensure proper compliance with VMware’s guidelines, Pricing, and revenue recognition company guidelines for quoting process.
You will understand the process and perform the necessary steps as per the set guidelines
You will also learn how to navigate through all applications & tools used across the Deal Management Team ( Smartsheet, Salesforce, Confluence, CPQ, ModelN…)
Obtain basic knowledge and seek to learn the products/services that VMware offers.
Assist in deal negotiations:
After the training and shadowing period with your peers, provide basic guidance and act as an internal deal advocate by taking responsibility for leading deals from quote to closing.
Learn to navigate organizational structure and build relationships or trust with stakeholders.
Understand the basics of ELA overages, discounts requests and VxRail exceptions and Special Pricing Forms and how the financial elements intersect with the terms and conditions of each set process.
Follow internal business processes to solutions and seek appropriate guidance/approvals to resolve situations that deviate from standard processes or fallbacks.
Understand the use of contract templates and guidelines to prepare customer documents.
Work-life balance
Work days are usually from Monday to Friday. They have flexible work timings. This role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager.
