Your role

• General understanding of products/services, their product family, and bundle components.  Proactively identify inconsistencies in structuring and coach Sales accordingly.
• Act as an internal deal advocate by taking responsibility for leading deals through booking within the set period.
• Work with various internal stakeholders and approvers very closely to obtain necessary approvals based on the requested exceptions
• Work to improve the quality of the commercial terms to maximize the deal value to the company
• Retrieve necessary contractual documents for the requesters
• Navigate organizational structure and build relationships of trust with stakeholders.
• Follow established revenue recognition company guidelines for both the quoting and contract process.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of tools required, identify system issues, and raise awareness to solve them
• Obtain basic knowledge and seek to learn the products/services that VMware offers.
• Follow internal business processes to solutions and seek appropriate guidance/approvals to resolve situations that deviate from standard processes or fallbacks.
• Seek an understanding of who the customer is and their requirements.

Career progression

Analyze and interpret Enterprise License Agreements and navigate through the systems:

• Within 90 days of employment, become competent with VMware’s rules, guidelines, and standard operations.
• You will work closely with your peers and the enablement team to ensure proper compliance with VMware’s guidelines, Pricing, and revenue recognition company guidelines for quoting process.
• You will understand the process and perform the necessary steps as per the set guidelines
• You will also learn how to navigate through all applications & tools used across the Deal Management Team ( Smartsheet, Salesforce, Confluence, CPQ, ModelN…)
• Obtain basic knowledge and seek to learn the products/services that VMware offers.

Assist in deal negotiations:

• After the training and shadowing period with your peers, provide basic guidance and act as an internal deal advocate by taking responsibility for leading deals from quote to closing.
• Learn to navigate organizational structure and build relationships or trust with stakeholders.
• Understand the basics of ELA overages, discounts requests and VxRail exceptions and Special Pricing Forms and how the financial elements intersect with the terms and conditions of each set process.
• Follow internal business processes to solutions and seek appropriate guidance/approvals to resolve situations that deviate from standard processes or fallbacks.
• Understand the use of contract templates and guidelines to prepare customer documents.

Work-life balance

Work days are usually from Monday to Friday. They have flexible work timings. This role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager.
