The Global HR Data Management Team is a creative community brought together to ensure data compliance and integrity. We will update the data to incorporate systems making this data accurate, available, and accessible.

As a member of the HR Data Management organization, you will work with a talented and geographically diverse team to support VMware’s HR Systems and its customers.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 you will work towards completing?

  • Learn the Workday system and HR Data Management processes and support model. Deliver timely resolutions to customer issues.
  • Establish an understanding of key support areas and workflows. Understand the upstream and downstream impacts of these workflows.
  • Build partnerships with team members, technology and support partners, and the broader HR Technology and Services organization to deliver effective solutions and the highest level of customer satisfaction. 
  • The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing regularly?

Data Entry and Customer Support

  • Global New Hire Entry – Entering all information into the system.
  • Global Employee data change processing (dept changes, manager changes, compensation changes, etc)
  • Global non-employee (Alternative Workforce) processing – Agency Temps & Contractors
  • Triage and resolve customer support cases on the system, process, or data issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular audits/reports to ensure system data integrity.
  • Identify areas for efficiency and improvement. Raise ideas and solutions to improve how the team works and how we support our customers.
  • Identify root causes of issue trends and recommend solutions.
  • Manage tickets and escalations via established processes & systems.
  • Escalate end-user issues promptly to HR Technology team members or VMware IT and leadership.
  • Create new support documentation for new support topics and issues as they arise; update existing support documentation to keep up to date with the most current information.
  • Collaborate closely with our HR Technology Team (HRIS) for the identification and implement ideas and solutions to improve how the team works.
  • Collaborate on testing and other system implementations or upgrade projects by participating in testing of functionality, etc.

Where is this role located?

This role is based in India and can be either Flexible or Remote. For Flexible, there is the opportunity to work from the office some days during the week and other days from home (once offices reopen).  For Remote, you can work from home fully.  In both cases for remote working, it is essential to have strong internet connectivity and limited distractions to perform successfully in this role.  As we are members of a global team and support global customers, it will be important to have a flexible and balanced approach for attending meetings and delivering work products.
