Your role

The Communication Intern will work closely with WRI India’s Climate communications team and other team members. The role entails role involves writing engaging and creative content for social media platforms, editing and proofreading, maintaining mailing lists and trackers, and providing general administrative support to the communications team.   

How your day will unfold

  • Provide writing, editing, and proofreading support to all communication materials.
  • Develop content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube)
  • Create communication collaterals to facilitate the execution of offline and online events.
  • Create and manage a program-specific calendar and ensure timely dissemination of all communication materials as per the program schedule.
  • Perform quality control checks on all content.
  • Simplify complex ideas, including creating visualizations for easy interpretation of the data for different audiences.
  • Communicate and coordinate with partners and other stakeholders and liaise with relevant organizations/ platforms/ initiatives to further project goals.
  • Coordinate with local vendors for executing events in different cities as per project requirements.
  • Ensure that branding and style guides are adhered to in all outreach materials. 

About you

Qualifications & Requirements WRI seeks  

  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of photo/video editing software (such as Canva) would be considered a plus. 
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships internally and externally.
  • Capability to communicate complex ideas in everyday language.
  • Ability to self-manage meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
