The company was founded in 1925 and incorporated in the state of Delaware on 31st January 1926. The company expanded into non-military construction equipment for highways, dams, mines, and oil wells by acquiring Sanwa Koki Co., Ltd., a Japanese manufacturer of small bulldozers, in 1960 and André Citroën's agricultural machinery business in 1975. The company has contributed to India's growth since the 1930s. The company has been manufacturing products for 50 years now, focusing on best-in-class productivity and sustainability.

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process at Caterpillar consists of five rounds of interviews that take place over 2-3 weeks. The first round is an online test followed by four rounds of face-to-face interviews. The final round consists of two interviews – one with senior management and another with the hiring manager. The process takes 6-8 weeks from start to finish but can also be shorter depending on how quickly you respond to questions and get back to recruiters after each round of interviews.
