Your Role and Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • The Spectrum Scale technical support team is dedicated to enabling our client’s success, in response to client’s request. Our team does not stop at the traditional boundaries of product support, and its counterparts in NA and EMEA.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to listen to clients and understand both situational and technical issues.
  • Ability to work with and collaborate across a global team of engineers.
  • Basic knowledge of Operating Systems (UNIX, Linux, Windows).
  • Experience with C and UNIX / Linux shell script programming.
  • Master Degree. Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred.
  • This role will require working a shifted work week at least once a month to provide support on weekends.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with HPC (High Performance Computing).
  • Experience troubleshooting network, OS or application/software issues.
  • Experience working in a 24×7 support environment.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • A working knowledge of case management in Salesforce, or equivalent, is desirable.
