Job Description

As a Talent Specialist at Setu, you’ll be responsible for organizing, coordinating and managing all hiring activities for both tech and non-tech roles. You will be at the forefront of Setu’s hiring requirements from entry-level all the way to senior leadership hires. You will work directly with functional leads and be an advocate for Setu’s culture, values and mission statement. Should have prior experience in hiring for and scaling engineering teams.

Whether recruiting the next Setuzen, streamlining the hiring process, or sourcing for the best talent pipeline, we’re looking for someone who can help us reinvent this wheel and contribute to what we believe is what brings our company together i.e our People.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, your sole objective will be to ensure a steady pipeline of excellent candidate profiles along with ensuring a seamless, candidate friendly hiring process. You’ll spend your time in
  • Manage the entire candidate life cycle—from first contact to joining date.
  • Engage and guide each candidate throughout the hiring process.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred
  • Share candidate assessments and schedule interviews timely and effectively.
  • Actively maintain clear lines of communication between the hiring managers, interviewers, and the candidates.
  • Work closely with the function leads to understand staffing requirements and the hiring process to be followed for each job opening.
  • Creatively source new candidates through LinkedIn and other platforms.
  • Network with potential candidates and build premier pipelines for all job openings.
  • Partner up with new vendors and continue managing relationships with existing ones
  • Organize and attend recruitment events and meet-ups to network and build our potential hiring funnel.
  • Collaborate with the Evangelism team to develop and execute recruitment campaigns on social media.
  • Work closely with the Design team to continuously improve our careers page and other channels to ensure its effectiveness as a tool to attract talent

Requirements

You will need to juggle hiring for multiple roles at the same time and constantly keep in touch with various stakeholders involved in the process. To excel in this role, You should have unimpeachable integrity: You always keep your word, no
matter what. And you do the right thing, always. If you don’t have this, none of the rest matters.

  • High level of conscientiousness: Being well-organized, detail-oriented, and extremely reliable is crucial for a role such as this. You should have an intrinsic desire to be responsive to every mail, call, or other communication by the candidate or internal stakeholders in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Empathy: We operate with a deeply consultative approach. Empathy for the person you’re working with and the external person reaching out to you is a key requirement for this role. Asking relevant questions to ensure there is seamless communication between stakeholders is extremely important as is taking the time to listen to their doubts and providing as much clarity as possible, so the candidate is fully aware of what to expect from the process.
  • Relentlessness: Managing work and people in a startup is all about multi-tasking and following through. Hiring requirements are rarely closed in one conversation. You will need to be friendly, patient, and relentless.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on regular hiring trends and statistics is a plus. Familiarity with the tools of the trade like ATS tools, and also the ability to swiftly become skilled in company-specific software being used.
