Sobha Limited, a Rs. 26 billion company, is one of India's largest and only backward integrated real estate and contracting players in the country. Since its inception in 1995, the company has always strived for benchmark quality, a customer-centric approach, robust engineering, a high degree of business ethics, timeless values, and transparency in all spheres of business conduct, which have contributed to making Sobha, a preferred real estate brand in India.
Backward integration is what drives the organisation's turnkey projects. In a turnkey scenario, we bring the expertise of all our divisions to focus on every single aspect of a project. In other words, everything from precision engineering to aesthetic design and from quality metal glazing to high-class interiors is done in-house. This allows for stringent control of quality, which in turn gives our customers a fine combination of precision and aesthetics. The Infosys centres in Bangalore, Mysore and several other cities are fine examples of our expertise in turnkey construction.
SOBHA is one of India’s leading real estate entities. We are the only real estate company in India to have a full-fledged backward integration model. We come with a reputation for building some of the finest residential and contractual projects in India. Our corporate clientele includes multinationals such as Infosys, HP, DELL, Bosch, Biocon and Timken.
In order to meet the growing demand for quality construction, we are continuously on the lookout for talent to help us maintain our reputation as the nation’s most reliable, quality builder. Today, we have a staff strength of over 3000 people and a full-fledged academy to impart training on different technical and behavioural aspects.
At SOBHA, we believe that some of our finest achievements do not just refer to our growth figures. They also extend to Vadakkenchery, Kizhakkenchery and Kannambra – three panchayats in the Palakkad district of Kerala, each consisting of 2 villages. To usher in holistic growth at the grass-root level, the company, under the aegis of its CSR arm, ‘Sri Kurumba Educational & Charitable Trust’, initiated Graamasobha – a unique social development initiative for the three-gram panchayats in the the the year 2006.
An in-depth Social Empowerment Mapping Exercise (SEME) was undertaken by the Social Empowerment Department (SED) of the Trust to fulfil the following objectives.
Based on the data, the Graamasobha model was developed. The lives of thousands of underprivileged citizens are getting positively transformed through this growth model, which has a bottom-up approach to poverty alleviation.
